Then again the modern Charger is one of my favorite vehicles that I'll likely never try to buy, so...

These things look so damn good in person. Yet I just can’t get excited about them beyond that. I may drive one in a year or two when they all start getting repossessed and making their way via auction to CarMax . Kia may have come a long way, but their US dealers.... still have a long way to go.

Looks good and sounds decent for a v6 but cheaped out certain things. It’s a budget SS or 6.4l charger because you couldn't afford a V8

I’m not putting down the Stinger itself, I just think they were way too cautious on the design. Seems to be the thing lately, either boring/derivative or batshit weird/ugly. Too much resemblance to the prior Optima (which isn’t a bad looking car, much better than the overstyled mate Sonata), especially in the greenhouse:
My modern car is a mild darkish blue, unusual if not exciting, but the sky blue fintail does seem to get people going now and then. Those colors should come back.
I’ve seen kind of a pastel grey Stinger in town, not bad.

I remember before this came out and there was just press photos. I was worried the styling was a bit too close to the Optima. Then I saw one at a dealer floor of all places. All my worries were nuked from orbit.
